This book is divided into six chapters. The first offers a summary of the historical development of the cofradia in Spain and Guatemala. The second presents a general overview of the community, including locality, history, and lifestyle. The third describes the weaving techniques, the designs, the construction, and the use of the garments that make up the current dress of Solola. In the fourth, the political-religious organization of the locality is described. In the fifth, the distinctive dress of the members of the political-religious hierarchy is analyzed semiologically. Finally, in the sixth chapter, the changes undergone by the dress of Solola in the last 100 years are reconstructed.
