LLADRO CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS Rare Huge 20" Studio Ceramic Figurine 132/1000

LLADRO STUDIO POTTERY 20" CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS FIGURINE 

Lladro produced this huge ceramic for the 1992 world commemoration of the 500th jubilee of discovery of America made by Columbus in 1492 during his first voyage.

Created in 1987, this figurine was retired in 1995. It is listed in the Lladro History catalog (# 01012176),” Christopher Columbus”. It is a Limited Edition piece with only 1000 made. We have the figurine's original framed passport which certifies its number # 132.

The creators of the piece, Salvador Furi? (sculptor) and Vincento Navarro (decorator). Manually created in Valencia in November 29, 1988 it has genuine signature of a Lladro family member. The figurine depicts Christopher Columbus and is complete with its mahoghany base. 

The figurine was purchased in 1988 and is in excellent condition (no chips, cracks or scratches); equipped with original Lladro mahogany base and Limited Edition Passport #132. Passport data are engraved in the bottom of figurine.A very rare piece. The huge and heavy piece measures 20” tall x 17” wide x 8.5” deep
