Sony Sports Walkman WM-FS473 AM-FM Radio Cassette Tape Player Not Working

I placed batteries in and it does not power on. No lights or anything appear on the screen. All buttons depress as they should. There is no corrosion in the battery compartment. Minor scuff marks and signs of wear from general use. No cracks in the screen or plastic. Please see all the pictures for the overall condition.
