Hoary Vervain (Verbena stricta), also known as Hoary Verbena, is a member of the vervain family. Unlike other members of the vervain family, this variety preferes medium to dry conditions. 24-36" flowers that will produce 1/2" violet blue flowers that grow in spiked clusters. Will attract butterflies. Drought tolerant.
Plant in fall after first frost. If planting in spring, mix with equal parts of sand and place in refrigerator for 2-4 weeks (cold stratify)
