Collectors spoon from Rockford, Illinois Clock Tower which is no longer there.
The clock was part of the Clock Tower Resort, which opened in 1968 and was once one of the city's most popular hotels. It had a museum that featured multimillion-dollar timepieces. Over the past half-century the resort was the site of a jazz festival and a visit from former President Gerald Ford. The resort first closed its doors in November of 2016. That was one month after a shooting at a party inside the resort that left Marcello Brown, 23, dead and five others hurt. In April of 2017, building code officials with the City of Rockford condemned the resort, calling it an unsafe environment.
