Trunk has been repurposed for various needs throughout the years and ultimately being used in a garage as a tool chest.  It has been painted at some point from the original army green.  Side handles may not be original.  There are some visible inner modifications and holes were drilled at some point for a possible latch lock.  Appears to be a good candidate for restoration.
