A great pair of early style (1900) cast-iron bracket sconces. This pair is the larger of the medium sizes for this type of iron sconce. The sconces are fully restored. They were stripped to bare metal, given multiple flat black treatments, then given a matte top coat. The style is neoclassical, but the bracket arms are unusual with a spiral floral motif instead of the usual leaf pattern.

The sconces were completely disassembled, cleaned and received new internal piping and connectors. They also have new wiring and damp location sockets with a ground wire. The thumb screws are new and turn freely.

One sconce has more weathering than the other; it must have been subject to more exposure. Also, the globe cup holders aren't exactly alike. One has a larger egg pattern along the rim. Otherwise the sconces have identical styling and sizing. See photos.

Globes are 6-inch diameter cased opal milk glass. These are new, and aren't the cheap painted versions you find at the big box.
