These external-mount 9-volt battery trays are perfect for custom amplifiers, cigar box guitars with pre-amps or active circuits, and other electronics usage! Simply cut a rectangular hole in the side of your box, and use the included screws to mount the tray into place. Then simply solder on your leads and you have a stylish, handy 9V battery enclosure that allows the battery to be changed from outside the box. These are especially great for cigar box amps where you want to seal the box! These trays are made from black plastic and have metal points for soldering leads. The overall depth (or height, as shown in the main listing photo) is 2 1/4". A hole approximately 1" x 1 3/8" is required to allow the tray to be inserted. The outer visible face of the tray is 2 1/8" at its widest point, and 1 1/8" across.
