1 oz FAVA BEAN Seeds Organic Heirloom Broad Bean Gourmet Buttery Nutty Taste

FAVA BEAN Aka Windsor Broad Beans are a cool-weather vegetable, grown in either the early spring or fall. Broad beans have been grown for thousands of years and are said to have been found in Egyptian tombs. They have a buttery, nutty flavor.
Although they are commonly called fava beans, broad beans can go by different names in different countries. The broad bean known as either Windsor or straight bean (subspecies faba var. major) is the one most westerners know and grow. Windsor Broad beans plants are large and leafy. They can reach five feet tall. The square, hollow stems are somewhat rigid and require minimal staking, although they can flop over in late season under the weight of the pods. Fava beans are easy to grow and are not picky about soils. Full sun and steady medium water. About 80 Days(spring)-180 Days(fall) for fresh organic fava beans. 1 OZ = 20+ Fava Bean seeds per order.
