Plum Cottage is a small all-stone dwelling from the north of England.  The first storey is jettied-out slightly on all four sides.  The front entrance projects forward and is stone enclosed.  It features ornate stonework above the door that creates the shape of "the ace of spades".  This mini-arch allows the wooden door frame to be extended up to house three tiny windows.  The chimney, also of local stone, begins internally, but is also jettied - out on the first storey.  It changes from square to round just above the roof and is topped by a bell-shaped pot.
