Congress, within the National Defense Act, created the Reserve Officers Training Corps, ROTC, thus introducing to the U.S. Army cadets supported by the Federal system other than those from the West Point Military Academy. Nice bronze cap device with original thumb screw. Wreath enclosing the letters ROTC. Measures approx. 1-27/32 inches in width.
