Joseph Coriz (1956-) learned silversmithing from his parents and Kewa jeweler Vidal Aragon by carefully observing and remembering what he saw. Growing up at the pueblo, he was inspired by watching nature and the day-to-day life of the people of the pueblo. He has been actively making jewelry since the 1980s. The pendant is signed with the maker's hallmark, his initials "JDC".
