About Chip:
1.The chip you will receive is 46, but not programmed. The chip key must match the engine to start the car. So you have to ask your local locksmith to do the programming, it's easy
2. The ignition lock cylinder is where the keys are inserted to ignite and start the vehicle. Over time, the cylinder will not turn due to the pins inside the cylinder being worn and damaged. This prevents you from unlocking the ignition and starting your vehicle.
3. If your vehicle will not start, your keys won't turn, or your vehicle will not shut off even with the keys removed, then you may have a damaged or broken ignition lock cylinder. The cylinder is located beside the steering wheel of your vehicle where you insert your key. It can be accessed by removing the steering column panels with a screw driver.
4.The new keys will need programming to be able to start the car. You will still need to use your old keys for the door locks. If you want to use your old key to start the car then you will need to have the lock cylinder re-keyed by a locksmith.
5. This product needs to be programmed, so you must ask a professional, otherwise it will not start.
