• Depicts a landscape with two seated fishermen looking across a river at a hillside resort. This scene is one of twelve views in Adams’ American Views Series, source print from a drawing by Charles Burton of New York.
• Shannondale was a tourist attraction with its mineral springs. George Washington is said to have frequented the springs. The first hotel facility was built on the site in 1819.
• American Views on early Staffordshire transferware are rare, finding a set of six pieces together is especially rare
• Measures about 8" diameter
• Pre-owned, pretty good condition, no cracks or chips, some plates have some browning or crazing, please examine all photos
