Dudson Hanley Jasperware is a particular style of ceramic ware produced by the British pottery manufacturer Dudson.

History & Description
Dudson is a family of British potters renowned for their hotel ware and jasperware.

The Dudson family manufactured earthenware and jasperware from their factory in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, from 1800 until 1980 when all production moved to the nearby towns, Burslem and Tunstall.

With over 200 years of pottery production, the Dudson family is the oldest surviving ceramic business in Stoke-on-Trent, an area commonly known as The Potteries. The company was founded by Richard Dudson in 1800 and was renamed Dudson Brothers Ltd. in 1898. Today, it is simply known as Dudson Ltd.

Jasperware was first developed by fellow Stoke-on-Trent potter Josiah Wedgwood in the eighteenth century. It is characterised by its matte finish and can be produced in a variety of colours, of which the most recognisable is a pale blue, commonly referred to as Wedgwood Blue.

ATTENTION PLEASE: This is NOT Wedgwood Jasperware, rather it is made by HUDSON in standard blue or Blue Jasperware. Depending on the picture, the lighting my give misleading impression about alternative color. Please feel free to ask for more information.
