George Burke created some of baseball's most iconic images in the 1930 and 40's. To this day, his images are still highly collectible. He was the official photographer for various Major League Baseball teams and also provided photos to some baseball card manufacturers. George Burke's longtime business partner was George Brace, whom owned the rights to all of Burke's negatives. George Brace was also a well known photographer at the time and after Burke's passing, Brace created what is now known as a "Brace Photo". This particular photo was part of a set that consisted of 300 iconic images produced in 1974, depicting players from the 1930's.
