Antique Victorian Bodice 1890s Checkered Polka Dot Green Felt Boned Collar Puffy

Victorian bodice, circa late 1890s.

Black & white checkered print, with polka dot weave. Green felt accents on the collar, draped around the shoulders, and forearms.

Puffy sleeves with two "bands" of ruffles at the elbows. Tucks on the forearms & wrists. More snug through the forearms, with fasteners at the wrists.

Tucks & ruffled pleats down the back.

Ruffled, gray lining with pink boning.

Hook & eye closures down the lining & down the printed material.

Attached "belt."

Removable, boned collar.

Approximate measurements:
Underarm to underarm, across the front, laid flat = 18"
Shoulder seam to shoulder seam, across the back, laid flat = 14"
Underarm to end of sleeve = 19"
Shoulder seam to end of sleeve = 23.5"
Length down the back center, top of collar to bottom hem = 17.5"
Waist = 25"

Remarkable condition for its age. I don't notice any shredding or holes. Some fraying, particularly at the wrists. Discoloration of the lining at the neck & shoulders. Some discoloration in the underarms. The material is loose at the rim of the detachable collar.

I am selling this for a museum in Tombstone, AZ that has recently closed. As this is a museum piece, there may be repairs / modifications to the garment.
