A hard-to-find solid bronze wall sconce light by the Murlin Manufacturing Company out of Philadelphia. Murlin specialized in heavy cast lighting in the early 1900s. This is a beautiful light with an aged bronze that is original and untouched. Has some natural verdigris spotting and some paint specs but none that are detracting. The light was updated with new wiring and a damp location socket with a ground wire. The glass mounting bolts were replaced with new brass and the glass holders are new, cut from high-quality saddle leather to last a lifetime.

This sconce was originally available in cast iron or cast bronze. This is the rare cast bronze version as shown on the page of the Murlin catalog.

The sconce is marked with  capital M with an underscore, Murlin's trademark.

We have THREE Murlin lights; the other two are pendants and are shown in the last two photos. This is rare opportunity to have a Murlin collection. See our other listings.
