An extremely rare 1937 calendar done by the famous Japanese artist Munetsugu Satomi for the Nippon Yusen Kaisha Line in 1936. The calendar measures about 16 " x 10 3/4" and is bound with a metal strip. The 12 calendar pages are all present and attached. Each page shows 3 months at a time, so there is a January February March page followed by a February March April page and so on.  The calendar is in overall very good condition. The colors are bright, there are some smudges on the face of the calendar, which can probably be cleaned off. The metal rim has aging, and is complete. This is a Creation De Satomi, Paris No. 2123. Satomi 1900- 1995 was a Paris trained artist best known for his Travel Posters. The calendar can be either hung by the attached string or propped up by the attached fold out easel.
