VOL. IX, No. 2 -- 1974 MINKUS STAMP JOURNAL VOL. IX, No. 2 -- 1974 COVER: "Designing the Jerusalem '73 Souvenir Sheets." A SALUTE TO JERUSALEM '73:
From March 25 to April 2,1974, an international stamp exhibition was held in Israel. Three souvenir sheets were issued by Israel to mark the occasion. More than 35 government postal administrations participated in the show, and over 2,500 frames were sent by 2,000 philatelists from many. nations. The aim of Jerusalem '73, as stated by Dov Nir, Secretary General, was "to prove by this exhibition and meeting of people from all over the world the impact of philately, and to demonstrate the universal bonds of brotherhood the visitors are able to establish beyond the hatred and enmity among peoples."
