For the belayer that wants versatility! With an anti-panic handle that makes it particularly suited for learning, the GRIGRI + is a cam-assisted blocking device for climbing in the gym or outside. The selector knob allows the user to choose between two belay modes: top rope or lead climbing. Reinforced with a stainless steel wear plate for intensive use, it can be used with single ropes from 8.5 to 11 mm.

  • PROGRESSIVE DESCENT CONTROL: 3:1 mechanical advantage of the camming mechanism helps smoothly control the rope and reduce lowering efforts regardless of rope diameter.
  • CAM-ASSISTED BLOCKING: Cam-assisted blocking ensures a comfortable belay—when the climber falls or weights the rope—the cam in the device automatically cinches down to arrest the rope. Compatible with 8.5 to 11 mm dynamic single ropes.
  • ANTI-PANIC HANDLE: If the user pulls too hard on the handle, the anti-panic function engages, stopping the climber's descent. Great for newer belayers and partners with large weight differences.
  • MULTIPLE BELAY MODES: The lockable selector knob allows you to choose either top rope or lead belay mode. Top rope belay mode makes taking in slack easier and long belay sessions more comfortable.
  • STEEL WEAR PLATE: The stainless steel wear plate provides extra protection for the high-wear area on the GRIGRI (near the brake side of the rope).

If you do need to return your item, please contact us via email (you will receive an email when your product ships with additional details - Subject: Important information about your purchase). You will then be provided with a return shipping label and packing slip. Pack the item carefully. Include the packing slip, apply the shipping label, and return the item within 30 business days of the date you request a return, or your return will be canceled. Once we receive your order we will inspect the return. Please allow up to 5 business days of receiving the returned item for your refund.
