AND BE A VILLAIN

By Rex Stout.

New York: The Viking Press, (1948).

Book Club edition, vintage issue.

1948 date printed to the title page.

The thirteenth mystery featuring Rex Stout involves a radio broadcaster, a racetrack tout and a mathematics professor.

A decent vintage edition in dust jacket.

Pages tanning as usual (still flexible & sturdy), upper corner lightly bumped, minutely rubbed to the upper and lower spine edges and corner tips, else square, firm and about near fine in a sewn binding with polished blue linen boards with green titles and border to the front cover and to the spine, upper page edges a lovely red; in a very good dust jacket with artful design by Bill English, with shelf-edge tears and with small chips to the upper and lower spine ends and corner tips, and with two small creased chips to the rear panel's upper shelf-edge, age-toning to the spine panel as usual; original red printed "Book Club Edition" still intact to the front inner flap.

The dust jacket will be placed in a clear protective, removable sleeve after photographing for this entry.
