FRONT COVER "NAVAJO WEAVER" BY GEORGE C. HIGHT. This photograph was taken on the Navajo Indian Reservation south of U.S. 66 on the Arizona-New Mexico border. Here with infinite artistry a Navajo weaver is creating a masterpiece in wool. The photograph is framed in "blue gem" turquoise, original size 8" x 8", mined at the Blue Gem Mine near Battle Mt., Nevada, and is a treasure in the turquoise collection of Walter Godber, of Phoenix, whose family for three generations has been engaged in the mining and marketing of turquoise, a gem revered by the Navajos.
