CREASE

1. Space hinges approximately as shown in Fig. 1 or to align with existing mortises.

2. Hinge barrel should be set out from door edge so door will clear trim when opened. (In general, this is where the hinge creases and knuckle cutouts begin. See Fig. 2.)

3. Mortise door and jamb for hinge leaves, 4. Drill 3/32" Pilot holes and lubricate screw with soap or wax.

5. Install with head of hinge pins at top and tighten securely. Hinge pins must be aligned vertically.
