This relatively rare mineral is a lead vanadate chloride. Crystals are usually long prisms,
but can also be hair-like. It is a secondary mineral in oxidized ore deposits containing lead,
and is often associated with galena, barite, wulfenite, and limonite.
arite is a mineral consisting of barium sulfate. Derived from the Greek word meaning “heavy,”
barite feels relatively heavy, but is quite soft. Found in many places in the world, barite is generally white or colorless,
but can be almost any color, depending on the included mineral content.
