Snowberry (Symphoricarpos albus)  10-14 inch tall 1 year old bare root plants

A hardy, deciduous shrub ideal for USDA Zones 3-7 and zone 8 on the West coast. Thriving in full sun to partial shade, it adapts well to a wide range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils, with a preference for slightly acidic to neutral pH (6.0-7.5). Native to North America. Reaching 3-6 feet in height and width at maturity, it forms a dense, rounded habit, making it suitable for informal hedges, mass plantings, and erosion control. Snowberry spreads by rhizomes to form a colony.

Known for its small, bell-shaped white to pale pink flowers in late spring, this shrub produces showy white berries in late summer that persist into winter, providing food and shelter for birds and seasonal interest. Berries are not edible and are toxic to some humans. Snowberry is moderately drought-tolerant, cold-hardy, deer resistant and low maintenance. Self Fertile. Its wildlife-friendly nature and ability to thrive in challenging conditions make it a valuable addition to naturalistic and wildlife gardens.

Prune to ground in late Winter/ early Spring. Then fertilize to produce vigorous growth and masses of white berries. Makes a great addition to flower arrangements.
