We went to Newell for the Tent Sale when this item, and the anniversary vase, were released to celebrate the anniversary of the product line coinciding with the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Pottery Works. We bought them both.

Shortly after, it was discovered that a manufacturing processing issue resulted in a large number of returns because the plate was not level: hence the picture with a level on the plate. This was taken on our driveway, which slopes just enough to let rain runoff: shown in the bubble being not quite centered. 

The product was recalled, the problem causing the issue corrected and now the cake plate is available in may colors. A second run of anniversary plates was ordered to replace those which were returned, and of course, more.

The pictures show original packaging, as well as the box. We will ship in bubble wrap under tyvek.
