Synopsis:
The fictional epic era drama "The Gilded Age" by HBO was developed and written by Julian Fellowes, the creator of "Downton Abbey".
The series is set during a period of significant economic change in the United States. The story begins in 1882 and tells the story of young orphan Marian Brook (Louisa Jacobson), the daughter of a Southern general, who moves into the traditional and conservative homes of her aunt Agnes van Rhijn (Christine Baranski) and Ada Brook (Cynthia Nixon) in New York. Mysterious yet talented African American woman Peggy Scott (played by Den é e Benton) disguises herself as Marian's maid. Accompanied by Peggy, Marian unintentionally became embroiled in a social status war: on one hand, there was a prestigious family represented by her aunt, relying on the inheritance of family business from generation to generation; On one side is his wealthy neighbor.
