Item description for Vtg Hand Color Tinted Photo Women Mourning? Mother Dtr 5x7 Granny core portrait

This item has been in my collection for many years. It is from a local estate and has been stored behind glass for many years, so the colors are still rich and beautiful. I am not an expert but it APPEARS to me to be a photograph that was hand tinted.

I think the subjects are either a mother and daughter or two sisters. They look very similar so obviously are related. The clothes look to be mourning clothes and the facial expression on the one on the left seems to be that of a mourning photo.

There is a lot of very pretty detail, for instance the lovely braid type belt on the dress on the right.
