This DVD drive was used in some Denso navigation radios in the 2010-2013 time-frame. We know it can be used in the 20888798 Cadillac SRX (2010), the 22870863 Chevrolet Suburban (2012), the 23168280 Express/Savana van (2014), and the 22923616 Chevrolet Avalanche (2013) radios but we don't have a list of other radio part numbers that use it at this time. And you shouldn't buy it just because your radio is a Denso. Match your current DVD drive up to one of the part numbers provided here. (DVS8601V, DVS8603V, DVS8605V, DVS8605VZ) Seriously!! If your part number doesn't match one of those, this won't work for you. If you decide to take a chance even though your number doesn't match, please understand you could be wasting some money. If it doesn't work in place of a different part number, that doesn't make it defective. It just makes it a failed experiment that was relatively inexpensive, all things considered.
Pictures of a couple radios this was used in appear in this listing but you are not getting a radio. Just the DVD drive that is the focus of this listing and appears in most of the photos. The drives came from an assembly line left-over radio like the first few radio pictures. They were never used in a vehicle. The radios come right out of the GM multi-pack boxes.
The drive has some cables attached, as pictured. The cables are removable. If yours need to be longer, shorter, bent at a different angle, etc, you can re-use your originals. We include ours because there's no point in throwing them away when you might be able to use one or more of them...
Changing this drive can be a real challenge!! There are a frustrating number of pieces to dis-assemble before you get to the drive. So... you shouldn't be performing the repair unless you're qualified. It does work as described, if your part number matches one of those provided and you do the installation correctly. (We've sold approximately 1000 of them and we've done installations here so, yes, we know...)
If you've researched these DVD drives, you know this is an insanely low price for a new one. We acquired a large number of brand new nav radios as part of a bulk purchase. If we didn't have so many of them, we'd be asking what the other guys are...
