LOOKING OUT THE WINDOW UNTO THE WORLD - mixed media collage 3” x 3” centered on 7.5” x 7.5” 300# watercolor paper with deckled edges. This abstract collage typifies our failure to look out our window onto the rest of the world and resulting lack of worldly knowledge. Only this figural dog with antennae is confident enough to do so. Gold and copper foil emphasizes the abstract designs, which represent our preoccupation with ourselves.

The focus of my work has been creating diminutive mixed media collages 3” x 3” centered on 7.5” x 7.5” 300# watercolor paper with deckled edges.  They exhibit a whimsical or nostalgic focus, using acrylic paints, copper/ gold/ silver foils, found images, sheet music, dried natural materials, postage stamps, feathers, street detritus, magazine photographs, handmade paper, tissue and variety papers, Japanese paste papers, and watercolor papers.
