Inspired by different cultural Tribal Fashion, I embarked on trying to make what I call an “African Princess” Tribal Necklace. The beads that I used come from all parts of the world which include some 1960’s vintage USA glass hippie beads, newer African metal accents and some very large vintage faux African Copal Amber Bakelite Beads. Also incorporated into this design are some Tropical Seashell and Coconut Heishi Beads, Clear, Opaque & Silver-Lined Crystal Czech Seed Beads, Tin Cones, Chinese Turquoise and a huge Fluted White Brass Focal Bead from India for the centerpiece.

It was common practice in the past as it is today to trade beads from different parts of the world throughout Africa, so using these various forms for decoration in modern times would not be uncommon as well. German, French, Italian and even Danish beads would often find their way into these African tribal cultures to add beauty around the necks of many men, women and children. I am hoping that I have captured the essence of something ancient into something more modern for one to enjoy.

My one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry art creations will stand the in its uniqueness and beauty when worn by reflecting elements of fashion and design in nature as a testament of natural beauty, culture and craftsmanship. It is my hope that you find enjoyment and appreciation for the designs I have lovingly made with the enthusiasm of our current times.

You are not purchasing just a piece of jewelry, but a wearable art piece expressing who you are. These are NOT “mass” produced items from China, but a handcrafted cottage industry product made by me and are one-of-a-kind.
