The annual celebrity pro-am golf tournament that teams professional golfers with celebrities from music, television and films is a fund-raiser benefiting the Squeeky Medlen Charitable Foundation for leukemia research and VH1 Save the Music.
Some of the other celebrities expected to participate include Edward Burns, Adrian Young from No Doubt, Richie Sambora, Tico Torres and David Bryan from Bon Jovi, Robert Wuhl, Stephen Stills, Clarence Clemons, Dweezil Zappa, Lisa Loeb, Huey Lewis, Kevin Sorbo, and Paul De Lisle and Kevin Coleman from Smash Mouth.
Some of the professional golfers expected to participate include Helen Alfredsson, Paul Azinger, John Daly, Chris DiMarco, Brian Henninger, Steve Pate, Tom Purtzer, Scott Simpson, Jimmy Johnston and Art Sellinger.
Hard Rock Hotel hosted an awards dinner and VH1 concert for the players, featuring the group, Smash Mouth.A total of 300 tickets at $10 each were put on sale to the public.
