Dan McClenahen compiled this booklet listing as many of the early marriages that could be obtained from newspaper articles of the day.  The marriages listed within this booklet came from the microfilm files of early Mifflin County newspapers housed within the research library of the Mifflin County Historical Society.  This is not a complete listing of all marriages in Mifflin County.  Many marriages were not reported in the newspapers and issues of the newspapers are missing.  A typical listing shows the names of the persons being married, the home location of each person, sometimes a parent's name and the date of marriage.  Indexed.
