ORGANIC HERBAL TEAS
COMPLETE TISSUE SOAK
Dr. Christopher, a naturopath and herbalist of the 19th
century, combined these herbs to make a soak for one of his clients.
Since then this well-loved combination of herbs has been used to help
support healthy bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, and other connective
tissues. For external use only.
Botanical Ingredients: White Oak bark,
Comfrey root, Marshmallow root, Mullein leaf, Black Walnut hull, Gravel
Root root, Wormwood herb, Slippery Elm bark, Skullcap herb, Lobelia
herb. 8oz.
Suggested Use: Directions: Put 1 cup of the dried herbs in 2 quarts of cold water. Heat until boiling, reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes. Steep (let it sit) for 20-60 minutes. Then strain through a sieve or cloth. Add hot or cold water to bring temperature to pleasantly hot for soaking. If there is no infection in the area, the soak can be reused a number of times. Keep refrigerated between uses, reheat to use, and do not keep more than 2 days. Alternate hot tea soak with a shorter cold water soak for best results.
Warning: For topical use only. Do not use
internally. Pyrrolizidine alkaloids in comfrey and gravel root may cause
veno-occlusive disease a silent and fatal liver disease with no known
cure.
