ABOUT THIS BOOK:
This is an amazing and interesting book for children. It is also EXTREMELY RARE (you are hereby challenged to find another copy anywhere). You will definitely own a one-of-a-kind with this book! Its called “Guessing The Geese In The Goose Family” with the family, of course, being that of Mother Goose.

Inside this charming book are 102 pages of nursery rhyme riddles with answers on the reverse side of the same page. It has characters that most children are already familiar with so it will be fun for them right from the start. It is very entertaining and helps children learn to think and answer questions, and it also aids in memory and retention skills. BONUS: It also creates a wonderful parent/child bonding time!

The trick to easy teaching is to let the child have fun without letting them become aware of the fact that they are actually learning. Imagine having a book that's nearly a hundred years old that can still be as useful today for teaching and child rearing as it was back then!

Guessing The Geese In The Goose Family” was written by Margaret E. Wells and printed by Doubleday, Page & Company, Garden City, NY, 1924. This is the first and most likely only edition since there are no other printings found to have been made. This original copy is in incredibly good shape considering its age and history of likely being loved and enjoyed by lots of children over the years.

It has a hardcover binding that is intact and still in solid condition. The cover is hinged front and back with no signs of wear. The entire book is in overall good condition considering its age of 93 years. All pages are present and intact with minimal separation at the spine. There are no tears, creases, folds or dog-eared pages. There is no foxing, only slight yellow discoloration and minimal spots and stains on the inside pages. A child's name and address are in penciled writing on first inside cover page.

The red cloth cover has minor wear along bottom front edge and some embedded dirtiness that is most likely from the many times the book was being held and enjoyed. There is a wrinkle in the upper right corner that looks like a bruise from when the book may have fallen to the floor at one time, but it did not bend or damage the hard cover. A small but noticeable water stain is evident on the lower outside corner on the back cover, but it does not penetrate the cover, and there is no evidence of the stain present on the inside. There is still gold in the gilted title and illustrations on the front cover, but it has faded and difficult to see on the title lettering along the spine. There are orange and blue illustrations throughout. Stated First Edition with no additional printings indicated.
