It sometimes heightens the drama of certain scenes for a more engaging film for modern viewers while still maintaining the feel of Austen's masterpiece throughout. This romantic drama stars Keira Knightley as the indomitable Lizzie and Matthew MacFayden as the aloof Mr. Darcy, along with Rosamund Pike, Simon Woods, Judi Dench, Donald Sutherland, and Tom Hollander. The DVD features anamorphic widescreen as well as English, French, and Spanish subtitles. "Pride and Prejudice" contains many special features, including a look behind the scenes, and is rated PG.
