There on two cupid figures on the lid of this trinket box.  It is lined with a velvet like red fabric, which is in excellent condition.  This was never used in my opinion.  It seems to be metal and like a repossee on an antique piece, on the sides.  The cupids are playing instruments and are on a white background.  It is signed Japan on the bottom.  Great place for that jewelry removed at the end of the day.  It has been in a smoke free home.
