MEN, WOMEN AND DOGS by James Thurber
Bantam Books, 1946
First Paperback Printing
Condition: Very Good+ to Near Fine

James Thurber was one of America's great humorists of the 20th century, but he is also remembered for his amusing drawings, mainly of domestic life. This 240-page book collects many of his best; though Thurber's style was simple and even a bit crude, it's really one of the classic books of cartoons. This copy has just modest exterior wear, mainly some spine end wear, spine wrinkles and back cover staining(?) which doesn't affect the pages. The lamination is intact, and the binding is very tight, making it seem unread. There is no apparent writing, creasing or tears on the pages, though they are age-toned. An unusually nice copy of one of the earliest Bantams (#21).
