Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the popular 1960's western drama, YOUNG BILLY YOUNG, released in 1969 by United Artists and written and directed by Burt Kennedy. A peace-loving man named Ben Kane (Robert Mitchum) takes a job as deputy marshal of Lordsburg in the old West. Kane is no lawman, but he accepts the badge because he has an old score to settle with the town's chief trouble-maker. Once on the job, Kane must also deal with a young sharpshooter named Billy Young (Robert Walker Jr.) and a sharp and sassy saloon dancer, Lily (Angie Dickinson).

The image features great western artwork depicting a large head-shot of Robert Mitchum at the top with an even larger image of Robert Walker Jr. about to fire his rifle with a second shot of Mitchum, this time carrying Angie Dickinson over his shoulder. Folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in very fine- condition without any pinholes, tears, or other flaws. There is a light 2 in. diagonal crease on each bottom corner and a light random water stain along the right border. The color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.

Robert Mitchum said he intended to retire from acting when this movie finished filming in August 1968, but in the following year, he agreed to star in Ryan's Daughter (1970). Less than a year before this movie was  released, Mitchum co-starred with Dean Martin in another western titled 5 Card Stud. Unsurprisingly, as a popular crooner, Martin sang the title song for that movie, as he had for several other movies in which he appeared. In response, and despite the fact he was not known for his singing ability, Mitchum insisted on recording the title song to this movie.
