Item description for Bronze or Brass Bookends DISA Last Production 3-9-90

I have no idea what DISA is. I'm guessing it was some sort of manufacturing company, probably in Indiana, that went out of business in 1990. I'm also guessing that these are brass or bronze. They are very heavy. See photos for detail and condition. Includes only what is pictured.
