From Peggy Nisbet Costume & Portrait Dolls, this is a vintage 1960s Egypt National Costume doll, numbered N/136 on the box. She stands 7.5" tall. I've had her around for many years (she once belonged to a cousin of mine, got passed on to me, but I am not a collector of dolls) and I've looked for another like her, but I've not found one. I don't know if this means she's rare, but it does seem so. The little white part of her costume, the band at the top of her forehead (sorry I don't know what the pieces of the outfit are called) needs some work. It's a little bit frayed at the top on one side, as you can see in the photos, but mostly it just needs to be kind of tucked back into place and affixed to stay that way. Other than that she's in really excellent condition. Box is not in great shape, though; it has a lot of general wear, as you can see, and the lid has multiple tears that are taped on the inside. So, overall, this isn't a perfect doll, but it's an unusual and hard-to-find one, and you probably won't see another like her any time soon. She deserves to find a new home where she can be shown off, not hiding away in my closet. Asking $11.00 obo. Everything I have listed for sale is "or best offer", so feel free to make an offer.
