Vintage original 27x41 in. US one-sheet poster from the popular 1960's comedy, SEX KITTENS GO TO COLLEGE, released in 1960 by Allied Artists and directed by Albert Zugsmith. In this "picture for broad-minded people," Collins College needs a new department head for their science department. Doctors Carter and Zorch consult Thinko, the campus computer, and come up with Dr. Mathilda West, who has degrees in lots of things, but turns out to be disruptively attractive as well. Meanwhile two thugs search for Sam Thinko who is muscling in on the race horse action, the captain of the football team is having trouble not passing out in front of the opposite sex, and Admiral McFortune, a benefactor of the college, becomes attracted to Dr. West, who has a past dangerously close to becoming public knowledge.

The design features great artwork depicting large portraits of Sex Kittens Mamie Van Doren, Tuesday Weld and Mijanou Bardot being their sexy selves with cartoonish artwork and a chimpanzee at the bottom. Folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is unrestored in near-fine condition with small tears, nicks and creases on the borders; a Canadian censor stamp in the bottom border; small scattered creases that are unobtrusive; and some bleed-through in the bottom border from a studio/exchange machine stamp on the verso. The color tints are very fresh and vibrant with a beautiful shade of rich red.

The song played under opening credits is "Sexpot Goes To College," the working title for the movie until a last-minute title change. Elektro was constructed by the Westinghouse Appliance Division of Mansfield, Ohio, and only one copy was made. Construction began in 1937 and it was put on public display in early 1939, just before being sent to the New York World's Fair of 1939. It was modified for this film, filling in the circle and putting in the square on his chest for the speaker. The Mansfield Memorial Museum has the original Elektro.
