While I began Woodland Stream with the various woodsy pieces, the scrap of almost glowing blue water came to my hands and made itself at home in the lower center, then attracted the bit of rocky material for its edge, and the ferns placed themselves strategically to indicate the path of the water.

My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
