(3) Three Antique Black and White Postcards. Two depict fraternity houses at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine including: ZETA PSI and CHI SI. The third card features the President's Gate at Bowdoin College. All published by Photolux / American Art Co., Boston. Divided backs, unused. Note: The reverse sides of these postcards are identical as shown in our second image. Condition: These are authentic postcards, not a copy or reproduction. They are all in near mint condition. Comments: In March 1997, the Bowdoin College Board of Trustees voted to replace the fraternity system with the College House system and to phase out fraternities by May 2000. This policy covers all Bowdoin students and fraternities and their relationships with other similar private, selective-membership social organizations, whether they are residential or non-residential, or have any local or national affiliation. Violations of College regulations regarding membership in and other activities related to private, selective-membership social organizations will be considered violations of Bowdoins Social Code and will be adjudicated according to the normal Judicial Board procedures. Students involved in rushing, pledging, perpetrating, and initiating activities by fraternities and similar selective-membership social organizations will be dismissed permanently from Bowdoin College.
