Vintage original 22 x 28 in. (55.9 x 71.1 cm.) US half-sheet poster, rolled, very good+ condition.

The renowned horror film director Tod Browning directed NO WOMAN KNOWS, a 1921 silent film drama based upon the novel by Edna Ferber. This poster is a beautiful piece of art and depicts and exquisitely color-tinted image of the film's female lead, Grace Marvin, in a very dramatic pose as she rests her head against a raised clenched fist while tenderly laying her right hand against her shoulder. The light purple and lime greens used in her dress must been seen in person to be fully appreciated. A lighted candle with a trail of smoke rising upwards borders both sides of the image in the bottom corners of the poster.

This half-sheet poster is rolled as originally issued and is in very good+ unrestored condition. There are two light vertical creases, one approximately 8 in. from the left border and one approximately 9.5 in. before the right border. There are two pinholes in the top right corner inside the outer border, four pinholes inside the top outer border, a small chip with one pinhole on the top right corner and random signs of wear along various portions of the top edge. There are six pinholes in the right outer border and five pinholes in the bottom right corner, one of which is along the right edge which has caused a tiny tear. There are four pinholes in the bottom outer border and two pinholes in the bottom left corner. There are several small creases of varying sizes in the outer borders, several small creases of varying sizes on the bottom right corner and a couple of small creases of varying sizes on the other three corners. There is a 3 in. jagged horizontal crease in the center of the right outer border and partially within the rising smoke from the candle below it.
