German Figurine Silver & Plate Man on Barrel w/ Mug Faux Gemstones (#4322)
Spectacular German figurine model of a silver plate man on a barrel holding a mug or stein with seashell body and multi-color cabochon faux gemstones (maker unknown). Man is slightly movable, he wobbles on the barrel he sits upon. This piece measures 5 7/8" tall x 3" in diameter. It is not monogrammed and is in fair vintage condition - some cracks in the shell and some lead solder is visible - his chest plate is slightly bent. The Barrel and his stein appears to be silver and the figurine appears to be plated. We are unable to identify the hallmarks to say definitively so this is our best educated guess on the material. We believe the N mark is for Nurnberg.
