This vintage brooch pin, circa 1980s, was designed by Porcelana Mercedes, a Manises, Valencia, Spain company dedicated to the manufacture of miniature porcelain flowers, made entirely by hand by skilled craftsmen.

 

The porcelain is fired at an extremely high temperature, over 1200 degrees, then painted by hand and then fired a second time to ensure durability and beauty of the piece.

 

This piece would be a lovely addition to any collection of vintage pins.

 

The pin measures 1.5" x 1.25" and features a unique secure pin device.

 

The original red plastic gift box measures 2.25" square.
