Vintage original 14x22 in. Belgian poster from the classic 1950's fictional musical biopic, HANS CHRISTIAN ANDERSON, released in 1952 by RKO Radio Pictures and directed by Charles Vidor. The opening scene of the movie describes it best: "Once
upon a time there lived in Denmark a great storyteller named Hans Christian
Andersen. This is not the story of his life, but a fairy tale about the great
spinner of fairy tales."
The image features beautiful artwork depicts a large portrait of Hans Christian Anderson (Danny Kaye) and a full-length shot of ballerina Zizi Jeanmarie. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original Belgian poster is in near-fine condition with three horizontal and one vertical foldline; small tears of varying sizes on the borders; a censor stamp affixed to the background near the right border; and a small stain in the top border near the right corner. The beautiful rich color tints are fresh and vibrant without any signs of fading.
