How to Tell Genuine Cactus Seed Oil
Cactus seed oil is a natural product and so the colour and smell do vary. But a truly genuine oil is light/medium to green in colour and has a sweet cactus seed, melon-like, smell of fruit, flowers and honey.
However, Cactus Seed Oil is a totally natural product and seeds from dry parts of Morocco or seeds harvested at different times of the year can produce variations in the qualities of the oil. At some times the colour can be a darker green and the fragrance may be stronger.

Tip: There are also a number of varieties of cactus that can be called "Prickly Pear". The original Moroccan oil is made from "Opuntia Ficus Indica". Other "Prickly Pears", such as Opuntia Stratia, yield a lighter more yellow oil with nearly no scent.
How to Use Prickly Pear Seed Oil
We sell pure oil from cold-pressed seeds in 1.13 oz / 32ml bottles and 0.34 oz / 10ml bottles.
3 to 6 drops will normally be enough to treat the face area and target smaller areas of skin, hair and nails that require more intensive therapy.
Cactus Seed oil has quite a rich "fatty" texture and glides on smoothly when applied. This gives it very good coverage and a little oil goes a long way.

A 32ml / 1.13 oz bottle contains around 700 drops and should typically last around 10 to 12 weeks.
Our 10ml bottle contains around 240 drops and should typically last around 4 to 6 weeks.
